2. What SwitchRegister is

SwitchRegister is a hosted tool that helps providers of hosted software/data-processing services meet their obligations under Article 26 of the EU Data Act: a public switching register, a contract-clause generator, and a switching-request tracker. It is a compliance aid, not a law firm, and using it does not itself guarantee legal compliance with the Data Act or any other law.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind the business you register on behalf of to use SwitchRegister.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. One admin user per account in the current version of the product.

5. Accuracy of generated content

The public register page, clause documents, and switching-request tracker only reflect the information you enter. SwitchRegister does not verify the accuracy of your data-category descriptions, notice periods, or any other content you author, and is not responsible for their legal sufficiency.

6. Donations

Any donation/support link (e.g. Ko-fi) shown in the app leads to a separate third-party platform. Donations are voluntary, do not purchase features or support entitlements, and are governed entirely by that platform's own terms — SwitchRegister has no visibility into or involvement in the transaction.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

SwitchRegister is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this instance is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

8. Governing law

No governing-law clause is specified at this time. This section will be completed once the operator's jurisdiction is confirmed.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of SwitchRegister after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
